"150 Devlet, 1500 Sultan" provides a short history of the 150 states that were founded in the 14 centuries since the birth of Islam, a chronology of the 1500 Sultans that had coins minted together with a summary of each coin. The book contains a succession of maps depicting the boundaries of these states every 100 years. This book is a Turkish reference book on Ottoman and Islamic numismatic.

Social Aid Stamps - Ottoman and Turkey

This book examines establishments that printed social aid stamps, and these stamps are depicted in a systematic catalogue format. The catalogue first examines Kızılay - Red Crescent Society, the Society for the Protection of Children, and the Turkish Air Society, whereby law dictates the compulsory usage of their stamps. There is additional interesting information on a further 75 establishments which have produced social aid stamps.

This book published by the Nilüfer Damalı Foundation, is an account of the development of the Cretian problem for the Ottomans, the Ottoman-Greek War in 1897, that arose directly as a result of the conflicts with Crete, and the exhibitions, fairs and help campaigns organized personally by Sultan Abdülhamid, in order to provide financial support for the martyrs, war veterans, orphans and immigrants who came into being as a result of the War. This study is based on available documents. Collections of ephemera, philately and numismatic have been accumulated around that interesting segment of history. This book attempts to provide information not only about the history of Crete, but also about commemorative collectible documents regarding the island. These documents, which we can call memorablia collectibles, include: - Medallions - Coins and money - Postage stamps - Documentary stamps - Postcards - Receipts - Memorablia items We believe that our initiative based on collections and archive documents, will be of interest. At a time where Greece and Turkey are at loggerheads over Cyprus, we believe that it will be useful to be reminded of the events that unfolded in Crete, 100 years ago.
